Less than Perfect Vietnamese Violet in Flower

Vietnamese Violet in Flower

I always want to show plants in show quality conditions, but that is not real life.

This Vietnamese Violet (Primulina tamiana) is not worrying about what it should look like, it just knows that it's supposed to keep flowering.

  1. No longer a Primulina, it has been reclassified twice and is now called Metapetrocosmea tamiana.

    1. Yes, the name keeps changing. The links follow back to the blog story about the name changes. I don't know if the Metapetrocosmea is official yet. Botanical names are absolutely necessary to remove chaos from horticulture.
However, common names sell plants. We like Vietnamese Violet.
